For purposes of gaining entrance to Kenya, applications for Electronic Travel Authorisation (eTA) should be done on the website etakenya.go.ke.
The Government of Kenya implemented the Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) system replacing the visa requirement. Starting January 5, 2024, travellers are required to apply for the eTA.
Kenya eTA is a semi-automated system that determines the eligibility of visitors to travel to Kenya. An eTA offers permission to travel and is authorised by the Government of the Republic of Kenya. An eTA does not determine whether a traveller is admissible to enter Kenya. Immigration officers will determine admissibility upon travellers’ arrival.
The eTA application collects biographic information and answers to eligibility questions from the traveller. eTA applications for Kenya should be submitted at least 3 days prior to travel to ensure adequate time for authorisation. Travellers can submit their applications up to 3 months prior to travel. It is highly recommended that travellers apply as soon as they have booked their accommodations and transport tickets.
According to Kenyan legislation, proof of an international health insurance is required when entering Kenya.

If you are arriving by air, then you will most likely be flying into Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) that is located just 40 minutes from Sarit Expo Centre. Please be aware that Nairobi traffic can be very heavy, especially during peak hours (morning / evening), significantly extending travel times for all options. Your driver may choose between taking the toll-based expressway or the toll-free alternatives depending on your budget, time schedule and current traffic conditions.
